United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization UNESCO, is a specialized agency of the United Nations (UN) created on November 16, 1945, Its objective, according to its founding act, is to “contribute to the maintenance of peace and security by strengthening, through education, science and culture, collaboration between nations, in order to ensure universal respect for justice, law, human rights and fundamental freedoms for all, without distinction of race, sex, language or religion, which the United Nations Charter recognizes for all peoples ”.

UNESCO has 195 members and 9 associate members, its headquarters are located in Paris (France). His current director is Ms. Audrey AZOULAY.
