Mr. Abdelaziz BENJOUAD

Abdelaziz Benjouad is a professor of higher education and researcher in life and health sciences. Currently, he is vice President for Research and Development at the International University of Rabat. He is also acting dean of the college of health sciences.

He is the Chairman of the L’Oréal-UNESCO Maghreb jury for Women in Science and member of the international jury of the “Rising Talents” program.

He chairs the research council and oversees the implementation strategy of research, innovation and technology transfer activities. He promotes national and international partnerships with universities and industry. He was also the director of the School of PhD studies.

He is former interim director of the National Center for Scientific and Technical Research and director of its Scientific Department.

He served as director of the biochemistry and immunology laboratory, as well as the doctoral program at the Faculty of Sciences, University Mohammed V.. He was coordinator of the research commission of the council of the same institution. He also served as member of jury of teaching qualification.

He obtained his PhD in Biochemistry and a doctorate of state in Biochemistry and Immunology from Mohammed V University obtained as part of a secondment to the Pitié Salpêtrière hospital, Pasteur Institute in Paris, Université Paris 6 (Sorbonne université). He has more than 28 years of experience in research and academic training as well is in the management. He authored more than 120 publications and patents and supervised more than thirty PhD thesis. His expertise’s cover also the field of intellectual property, innovation valorization and technology transfer.
